Invite team members
Including the one thing that surprises people: invitations do not send an email.

Important: no invitation email is sent
Choosing Invite member on the Members page creates the person's account (if needed) and a membership with status invited. OneEnv does not email them. The membership becomes active the first time they log in with that exact email address, so message them yourself with the login address.
Prerequisites
- You are an Owner or Admin of the workspace.
Step by step
- Open
Membersand chooseInvite member. - Enter the email and choose a role: Admin or Member. Owner cannot be assigned by invitation.
- Tell the person to log in with that email.
- Open the member's permissions page and grant a level (view, edit or service_admin) on each service they should work with. A Member with neither a grant on a service nor a workspace default grant cannot see that service.
Roles at a glance
- Owner: everything, including archiving the workspace and transferring ownership.
- Admin: full access to all services; reviews branches; manages members and permissions.
- Member: sees and acts only on services where they have a grant. Can create branches.
Common errors
ALREADY_MEMBER: the person is already active or invited in this workspace.CANNOT_EDIT_SELF: you cannot change your own role.CANNOT_EDIT_OWNER: use transfer ownership instead of the role dropdown.
